Scope:

To support the ongoing modernisation of classrooms at St Francis Holland School through the design and installation of bespoke Teaching Walls, creating brighter, more organised learning environments while maximising the available classroom space.

The Brief

As part of an ongoing programme to modernise its learning environments, St Francis Holland School wanted to upgrade a number of classrooms within its historic London site.

Having worked with the school for several years, our Interiors team was tasked with creating Teaching Walls tailored to the individual requirements of each classroom.

The solution needed to make better use of the available space, provide practical storage and incorporate both existing and new classroom technology, while creating a brighter and more organised environment for pupils and teaching staff.

The Solution

We worked directly with teaching staff to understand how each classroom was used and the individual requirements that needed to be incorporated into the design.

Using this insight, we developed bespoke Teaching Walls designed around each space, combining storage and technology within one streamlined solution.

Working closely with the school's Media team, we integrated existing and new technology while providing easy access to power and data connections. Cables and equipment could be neatly concealed within the Teaching Walls, helping to reduce visual clutter and create a cleaner, more organised classroom environment.

Each solution was configured around the needs of the individual classroom, allowing us to maximise the available space while providing teachers with practical and easily accessible resources.

The Result

The new Teaching Walls have transformed the classrooms into brighter, more modern and organised learning environments.

By bringing storage, technology and teaching resources together within a single bespoke solution, the classrooms make more effective use of the available space while providing a cleaner and less cluttered environment for teaching and learning.

The finished spaces have been well received by both teaching staff and pupils and provide a flexible solution that supports the school's ongoing programme of classroom modernisation.
